To Begin With . . . Who Are We?

I purchased the Sandhage.com domain name about 10 years ago and have dutifully paid the $15 annual fee since then – all in the hopes I would someday create this website. I have lots of fond memories belonging to the Hayden, Indiana version of the Sandhage clan, particularly the times when we'd all hop in the car and go visit my Dad's sister and brothers: Irene, Adam, and Henry. Raymond lived in San Diego most of his life, so once we all boarded the family Rambler, headed due west on U.S. 50 and 66, and  spent a week there to see him, Ruth & Wilbur. Family was important to all.

This site is intended to be a long-time resource to learn about our past, present and future hopes, plans and accomplishments. An historical record, if you will. For many years, family reunions were a great way to tell stories (most of them truthful), but the times have changed and so has our ways to communicate. Perhaps some day in the future we can meet again at Four Corners to remember those who came before us, and to celebrate ourselves. Nothing  better than a handshake or a hug.

I ask that you send to me, via email and/or dropbox, stories, photos and videos you would like to have me post to this site. Please provide full names as much as possible, and dates so that we have a reference point.

     Best to all,
